You make a very good point. Lovie Smith may have been loyal to Grossman for too long, although as disappointing as the Super Bowl was I didn't really fault Lovie for sticking with Rex.

Cedric Benson has looked very unimpressive. He looks slow to me and every time he is tackled, it seems like he doesn't want to get back up. A season that had such high hopes is quickly turning the other direction.

Derrich, sorry for taking over the comments on this post with all of the Bear talk. :)

the bears should have changed quarterbacks during halftime of the superbowl. If they had, then maybe they'd be champions right now.

this move is about 8 months too late.. but now I think they can salvage their season. They still have a running back problem though, it looks like thomas jones was more important than they thought.

I have to imagine that they will make a change either tomorrow or at some time during the game next week if they continue to struggle.

Griese isn't really the answer either but I think it is at least worth exploring to see if he can give them something. I'd even be willing to see Orton in there at this point.

You may see Griese. This was the first time Lovie Smith didn't firmly say "Rex Grossman is our Quarterback". He left it open...can't wait until Wednesday.

Ugh, as a Bears fan that game on Sunday night was brutal. Even though I think Grossman will one day be a very good QB, I have lost my patience with him and as bad as this sounds I want to see Griese next week.
