My Fantasy Football Picks

Last Sunday, our league got together for our NFL Fantasy Football Draft. It took place at Lion & Rose Pub in their private meeting room complete with 50″ HD plasma and DirecTV.

Last year it was Shake & Bake, this year its Rear Ball View.

In my post last Friday about Fantasy Football sleepers, I included players like Maurice Jones-Drew and Kevin Curtis. Funny. Check out my final roster (listed by round):

It’s likely I could have waited until the second round to choose MJD, but I picked #4, and I doubt he would have been there 12 picks later. I really think he’ll do well this season. I guess we’ll find out soon enough. I’ve also never been so heavy on receivers. And Carson Palmer was picked RIGHT BEFORE I was able to pick him. So, Tom Brady it is. Yesterday I placed Terry Glenn on my IR and picked up Mike Bell (RB, DEN) on waivers.

Sponge Ball, Cooley Pants
Have you guys seen those pics of Chris Cooley (TE, WAS) floating around? Perhaps they’re old news, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen these before. Apparently, he occasionally runs around practice in some tiny shorts.

I think I can look past this behavior. Literally. Because on the other side of Chris Cooley is Christy “Ogle”vee…his wife. Good catch, Chris!
