Why Not Go To Jamaica?

July 31st, 2007 - - Filled in: Reviews

Last year, some friends and I ventured off to Key West in search of fun and sun. While in the airport, I ran into some family friends who were en route to Jamaica. I’ve never been. And when we saw each other again several weeks after our rencounter…after hearing about how much fun their family had…planning a trip to Jamaica found its way toward the top of “places I’d like to visit”. Clear water, all-inclusive accommodations, and a vibrant culture are just a few reasons I could think of to head down there sometime. They even have golf courses…10 to be exact. Lucky for me, I shot a 72 on the front nine recently, so golf will definitely be last on my “things to do while in Jamaica” list. If you’ve ever been to Jamaica, share your thoughts and suggestions. I’m all ears.

Who sponsored that? honestly I’d only been there one day. When i was a senior in high school my family and I went on a cruise for spring break and we went on Royal Caribbean. I say that because i don’t remember the name of the city we went to but i do remember the poverty outside of the direct city area. While Jamaica was a very beautiful place there was a bit of poverty as well.

Yeah. I heard there was also some high crime rates. But as long as you remain within the resort or keep your explorations limited to the daytime, you’re fine.

Blessed love and peaceful greetings from Jamaica! If and when you come here, please do not get locked into staying at one of the all-inclusives. Book either a small villa or a room in a private home where you can experience Jamaican life. I live in the mountains on the south coast of Jamaica and do not have to encounter too many tourists. I hope when you come, you have a wonderful time. Jamaica is like no other country in the world.
Nuff Respect,
Lady Roots

When I go to Jamaica, I’m going to make Mr. Niceguy’s my first stop. Who wants to talk to Sampson when you can pick up that card with the smiley face? And I know what some of you may be saying…”How does he know Mr. Niceguy is Jamaican?” Well let me ask you this, “If he wasn’t Jamaican, why else would he be wearing that funny hat? Hmmm?”
