Great reactions, folks. Not far from the concensus. These are tough situations for people in the publis eye to go through. The public is quick to condemn people before they are proven guilty. I’m not saying that Vick is innocent. Goes back to what I said about surrounding yourself with good people. If he’s guilty, he should definitely be punished for what he’s [allegedly] done. No doubt about that.

As far as replacing Michael Vick…maybe the Falcons can pick up a good, under-utilized QB like one of the latest rookies: Kevin Kolb or Drew Stanton. And last season’s slip-through-the-cracks QB, Barrick Nealy who’s hangin’ out in Canada now-a-days.

Though he should change his name to Joey Venezuela. Then the fans might not notice the transition as much…

Completely off topic…. Joey Harrington completing passes. Sorry man. Having grown up pretty much geographically between the Pontiac Silverdome and Ford Field, I’ve given up all hope on anyone from past or current Detroit Lions rosters. The franchise needs to drop their roster and start over.

Vick’s action are disgusting and the NFL should suspend him at least until the trial is over. If he is found guilty, he should never be allowed to set foot on an NFL field again.

I have very little faith that the NFL will do the right thing and suspend michael vick.

Rather than being a sports hero ….. I now think of michael vick as being a real pathetic loser.

In my opinion, this will be the true test of the new policy against bad behavior within the NFL. Up until now there hasn’t been a real “superstar” player involved with the law so it has been easy for Goodell to suspend players.

Will he be as strict with Vick? If not, I’m sure the NFL will lose the respect of a lot of people – myself included.

I actually had a chance to hear a local vet speak about dogfighting a couple of weeks back. He has seen firsthand the damage done to those dogs. Shared a few stories with us…very disturbing what they do to those animals. I hope Roger Goodell does the right thing and comes down hard on Vick.

I think that when he does not play well, they should bash his head in or electrocute him, like he did to those poor dogs when they did not win their fight.
I have lost all respect for Mike Vick and the Falcons for keeping him in the game.
