As we near the end of the month, I usually take a closer look at how I can improve upon blog monetization and how to increase traffic. As my AdSense revenues have gone down, I’ve adopted a couple of additional sources that have worked fairly well. Here are some posts from around the blogosphere that I think you’ll enjoy that discuss these very issues.
That does it for this week. Enjoy your weekend!

Actually, Terence…they are both in my toolbar to the right of my posts. What browser are you using? You’re the second person to tell me that this month.

I use both FireFox and IE. I only see a small icons below your post. I don’t see any toolbar.
By the way, there are two check box that ask me to subscribe comment visa email. On above the text box and one below the “Add comment” button.
June 22nd, 2007 at 3:51 pm
Yep. Both boxes should be there. One subscribes to all Derrich.com comments, and the other subscribes to comments from a particular post.
As far as my sidebar, I’d be willing to bet that you’re only on my single post page. If you go to the main page, you’ll see my subscribe/feed buttons.

Derrich:
I will give you few suggestions.
Put the RSS feed on every page, not just the main page. So your viewer from the search engine result to your post page will be able to subscribe your RSS Feed.
Also try to user excerpt or “read more” to avoid duplicated content on your site. Your post shows full content on the main page and both post page, which will lower your page ranking for low term and put your post into Google Hell(supplemental result).
Take a look some of the imrovements I did to my site.

Yeah. I thought about that when you said something. I thought “surely its there…must be his browser”. But I’ll be adding it to single posts as well. And if you go to the main page and scroll down, you’ll see I have been using the “more” function…on select posts. I’d rather not use it on link love posts though. Thanks for the suggestions.

Oh .. Yes. I see the (More) now …
My bad …
Have a great weekend … Will come back for more

I’m not sure how I feel about the list on Mooney’s blog. I know a lot of the people and the numbers are wildly inaccurrate. Inspiring, nonetheless.
I have not attempted to use Adsense on any of my blogs. I do OK on 1 of my various static sites, though. CTR is so unsteady on the rest.
