Build Readership & Drive Traffic With Zookoda

May 11th, 2007 - - Filled in: Reviews

Last month, PayPerPost acquired Australian blog-to-email service, Zookoda. Although Zookoda originally announced several months ago that it was for sale at the asking price of $500,000, PayPerPost did not disclose how much coin it dropped for the company.

Zookoda is an email marketing application designed specifically for bloggers and the service it offers enables you to send a daily, weekly or monthly summary of your latest blog posts directly into your vistors inbox…all for free.

Zookoda’s user dashboard.

With Zookoda, bloggers can use it to build traffic and readership. Some of such features include:

  • Managing email newsletter subscribers.
  • Enhancing your blog with custom newsletter subscription forms.
  • Designing eye-catching newletters to match your blog design.
  • Scheduling recurring broadcasts for each day, week or month.
  • Viewing real-time open, bounce, click and unsubscribe reports.
  • Accessing mobile users by emailing blog content in text format.

Blog email subscriptions via your blog form are double opt-in to ensure user acceptance, and Zookoda also includes an online editor for your blog posts. All emails sent by Zookoda are spam compliant. This is the case because Zookoda requires that you enter your contact adddress (i.e. mailing address) during registration. Your contact address is displayed in the footer of all your emails.

Take Zookoda For A Spin
It’s easy. Visit the Zookoda registration page and fill in your details. Subsequently, you will be sent a verification email, which allows confirmation of your email address, and to ensure that your address was not used by another party. Once you click on the link in the verification email, registration details will follow.

This looks interesting - maybe you should give it a try and let us know how you get on using it in a practical sense?

I just signed up. I know a few bloggers that have been test driving it. So far, so good.
