Apparently someone over at Yahoo! Sports think Robert Horry is too old to play. This series of joking began after the Spurs’ March 26th contest against the Golden State Warriors. Is there an Horry hater at Yahoo! Sports, or could it be a cruel joke played on Horry by a former Spur at Yahoo! Sports? They’ve since corrected the information from that box score. Good…since Horry has an adominal contusion. Well, they’ve done it again. Here’s the Spurs/Suns box score from Friday Night (April 5th).
“Big Shot Bob” Is NOT Too Old
Take it from someone that used to hate Robert Horry with every bone in his body (in the sports fan sense, of course)…Bobby Ho has even torched the Spurs in the past. Yeah, yeah…I know. He plays for the Spurs, and now it’s all good. Maybe. His time spent with the Spurs has caused my “hate” to subside and has allowed me to realize what a (dare I say) Hall of Fame career the guy has had. After all he owns 2 of the 60 best playoff moments on NBA.com including #25, #28…but arguably countless other clutch moments with the Rockets and Lakers as well.
I’m not sure if Robert is going to play tonight…probably not until the playoffs. But, here’s to the Spurs taking it to the Warriors again tonight.

Bob and I were friends at Alabama when we were Freshman. We used to get Sundays off from training table and go out to breakfast. I feel really old when he is called an “old man” because he and Emmitt Smith (at Florida) were Freshman all at the same time. Bob went on to make a bit more money than I did but a club soccer player doesn’t have too much of a financial future.

Horry is a tool. Does deserve the rings (right place at the right time) but should never even be considered for the HOF.
