Advertising in RSS feeds is a topic often discussed by publishers, including bloggers. It is something I’ve been considering as the number of subscribers has steadily increased. Whether or not feed ads will turn readers away or add value to your RSS feed remains to be seen. As long as your blog contains quality content, relevancy of ads and the appropriate volume of ads used in your RSS feed will efficaciously impact results from monetizing feeds. Because not everyone comes directly to your blog to read your latest content, I recommend that you consider advertising on your RSS feed to completely monetize your blogging efforts. Here are a few options to consider.
FeedBurner
Most of the blogs I visit (including Derrich.com) use FeedBurner to publish their feeds primarily because of its useful feed tools: publicize, optimize, analyze, and monetize. I think more efforts should be put in using RSS as a means to create dedicated readers, then getting those users to regularly visit the site. I have a feeling that even with feeds that have a huge number of readers, the revenue from those feeds is minimal compared to what they have on their site.

What I don’t like about Pheedo is that it is another huge sidebar widget to display. Seems like it is inconvenient for me to take advantage of?
Regarding feedburner though, doesn’t everyone use it!??! Haha, they basically have a monopoly over the market, it really doesn’t get much better!
