Phil Hansen Photochops Bruce Lee

Artist Phil Hansen of Washington State has an interesting way of displaying his artistic abilities. He painted on 2×4 framing, drawn on Starbucks cups, and used photocopies of pages from the Bible. In this video, Phil uses black paint and karate chops to create a wall-sized mural of Bruce Lee.

My Name In My Domain List

On Wednesday, MsDanielle popped up on my WP Dashboard. Curiously, I clicked on it (as I usually do)…and she is participating in the name list.

Abide By The Rules
The original list came from Gary Lee’s blog. Inspired by The Tech List from JMH Techtronics, he thought it would be fun to build a list of “name” domains.

To be included on this list the real name of the author must be included in the domain name. I was thinking about saying that you have to include your whole name in the domain, but honestly, it’s the Name in My Domain list, not the Full Name in My Domain list. Also, subdomains of your current sites do not count for sure. That’s just cheating. Good thing I remembered to mention that! You will see what I’m talking about as you see the list below.

Friday’s Finds - 03/30/2007

Happy Friday, everyone! Just a random shout out to the San Antonio Spurs. Blow the Utah Jazz up tonight. Ok. That’s all I’ve got. On with the linkage.

• Barry Schwartz over at Search Engine Land posted a great step-by-step overview of Google’s new Per Per Action AdSense feature complete with screenshots. Great stuff!
• Neatorama is a site that…it…it’s got so much random stuff on it. I love it, and I don’t know why. But, it’s definitely neato. Anyway for you hardcore sports nuts, here’s a list of 7 great sports scams, scandals, and hoaxes as determined by Alex at Neatorama.
• I plan on watchin’ on Blades of Glory this weekend (yes, I said “watchin’ on”). But next weekend, Grindhouse comes out. Anything Robert Rodriguez hits home for me (except for Spy Kids…sorry, Robert); he’s from San Antonio…and I attended the same elementary/middle school as he and his 34 siblings…well, 7 or so. Rose McGowan with a machine gun prosthetic? Fuhgetaboutit. Harry over at aintitcool.com discusses the movie premiere of Grindhouse in Austin, TX no March 28th. Apparently, the introduction was just as entertaining.
• PJ-Comix of dummiefunnies posted the Karl Rove Rapping video with his own commentary. I’m sure many of you have seen this video by now, but if you haven’t — watch it. He is the epitome of white boys can’t rap (sorry, Paul Wall, Bubba Sparxxx, and Eminem..you guys are cool). You can’t hate Rove for spittin’ some flava in such a formal setting. Kudos, man.
• This find is from February 21st…Darren Rowse over at ProBlogger tells us how to run a blog competition in order to [1] find new readers, and [2] make your blog sticky. Darren…I added you to the competition, man. I thought we were cool. In all seriousness, though, this is a great post and helped me plan the 2nd edition of the 2007 Bloggers Tournament. Thanks, Darren. Now if I can figure out how to get this darn super glue on my blog…

Pee Wee Hockey Brawl

Recently, I’ve been looking for a Spring pee wee soccer league for my son to join. He has entirely too much energy to be watching Curious George on my 55″ Sony SXRD. Well, after watching this video of pee wee hockey, I wish I could find a league for him down here. Unfortunately, the Texas heat makes hockey a not-too-popular sport in these here parts. I haven’t laughed so hard in…well, in a few days. Enjoy.

Kontera ContentLinkâ„¢ For Your Blog

About a week ago, I was browsing MyBlogLog communities and came across a couple of blogs using in-text link ads. In-text link ads are basically online product placement based on the contextual relevancy between an advertiser’s brand and online content as explained by Kontera. They appear as underlined links on Derrich.com. And when you hover over them, voila…

Anyway, most of these blogs with the in-text link ads had less than 50 [Feedburner] subscribers and had only been around for several months. Based on pure assumption, I concluded that these blogs had less than 500k page views per month.
