Season Premiere of 24: Day 6

In the era of epic TV shows, I’d have to say 24 is my favorite. And forget about TiVo; even if I had it, I wouldn’t miss a show. I’m a certified fanatic. If you have never seen it, I recommend renting the DVDs for Seasons 1 & 2. Aside from being two of the best seasons, it’ll give you a better sense of what’s happening when Season 6 (or “Day 6″ in the 24 world) premieres on Sunday, January 14th followed by a second 2-hour show the next day, Monday, January 15th.

I’ve watched The Sopranos, OZ, The Wire, Deadwood, House, and a number of the more popular dramatic series over the last several years. The mystery and badassness that is Jack Bauer is sure to lure you in as it did me. And if you like cool gadgets (as in Bond movies, or the Transporter, etc), you’ll surely see some sweet future cell phone prospects in 24. Anyway, twelve 2006 Emmy nominations including a win for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor & Actress, and Best Dramatic Series can’t be wrong. See for yourself. I wish I could give you more qualitative reasons to watch, but I would do it no justice (now I really sound obsessed with this show).
